ALI Launches eLearning Library
The ASHRAE Learning Institute (ALI) has launched the eLearning library, an online, on-demand HVAC&R educational experience. The eLearning library provides subscribers access to a range of long and short eLearning courses for a period of twelve months. During that time, subscribers are able to access 19 full length courses and 50 stand-alone short courses. Full courses cover a broad subject area in a structured manner, using short course modules on specific topics. Short courses can be completed in convenient time frames, typically two to four hours.

Future City Competition Seeks Judges
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The mission of the National Engineers Week Future City Competition is to promote engineering to seventh- and eighth-grade students. In the competition, teams of students present their vision of a city of the future with designs and models requiring practical math and science applications, computer skills and teamwork. The competition has issued a Call for Judges for the 2008 competition. Judging of models takes place in Washington, D.C., during the national finals on Feb. 19. Between 30 and 40 judges are needed. ASHRAE is a sponsor of National Engineers Week.
