The Toronto Chapter will hold an educational technical seminar and trade exhibition on May 17. The seminar is entitled "Engineering for Sustainability" and will focus on building system sustainability. Speakers from the energy and utility sectors will speak on current energy costing, incentives, rebates and future trends. A sustainability consultant will discuss how sustainability relates to LEED. An engineering consultant will review sustainability design principles and applications, and a representative of Municipal Affairs will discuss Part 12 of the new Ontario Building Code and how it affects sustainability.
