AHMEDABAD, India—In June, the Western India Chapter, in association with ISHRAE Pune Chapter, launched two events—COMFEX 2009 Exposition and ACR Trendz ’07.

Past Chapter President Arvind Surange officially launched the programs with a cake cutting and smoke gun blowing ceremony. Also present were past presidents R.P.Paranjpey, Mukund Ranade and AWIC BOG member Suhas Deshpande.

ACR Trendz ’07 is a two-day seminar to be held Nov. 30–Dec. 1. The theme of the seminar is “environment” and will include technical seminars and product presentations.  COMFEX 2009, a three-day national exposition on HVAC&R and building services, will be held Jan. 8–10. Both the events will be held in Pune, which is a major refrigeration center in India.
