ASHRAE Adorns Times Square For Earth Day

ASHRAE in Times Square

NEW YORK—ASHRAE’s image is larger than life in the building industry, but for a few days recently, it was literally larger than life—in New York’s Times Square.
As part of the Society’s public relations campaign centered around Earth Day, April 22, the ASHRAE logo, along with a news headline, appeared on the Reuters billboard in Times Square for four days surrounding Earth Day.

ASHRAE’s materials were displayed several times each day during the morning and evening rush hours.

The display was in conjunction with an Earth Day package with PR Newswire, which entailed distributing a feature article with consumer-oriented energy-saving tips for the summer months.

The article, bundled with other environment-related Earth-Day articles, was also sent to reporters and editors through a separate news distribution service. The article has appeared in the Tampa Tribune, among other outlets.
