National Engineers' Week |
|
![]() National Engineers Week (NEW) will be celebrated February 18-24, 2007! Once again, thousands of your fellow colleagues from all engineering disciplines throughout the country will be taking part in this exciting event. Many of the outreach programs emphasize the importance of math and science to the “next generation” of children and young adults. The NEW web site (http://www.eweek.org) can provide your local chapter or student branch with ideas for activities as well as organizational tips for hosting a public event on engineering. You may order an information kit by phone at 703.684.2852. As always, these kits will provide you with interesting program ideas for your group. Remember that National Engineers Week 2007 can only be effective if we get strong participation from engineers and engineering students at the local level! Good Luck with your NEW activities! Introduce a Girl to Engineering DayIntroduce a Girl to Engineering Day is Thursday, February 22, 2007 and is sponsored by Agilent Technologies, Inc., Motorola Foundation and the S.D.
