Energy Code for Commercial and High-Rise Residential Buildings - October 7, 1997

The 1993 edition of the Energy Code for Commercial and High-Rise Residential Buildings has been revised three times (through October 7, 1997) to incorporate errata and to reflect Addendum 90.1c-1993. Following is a summary of the changes grouped by revision date:

1) 1994-12-22 (Pages #8, 18, 18a, 45-46, 64, 70-72, 75, 82-91). Changes reflecting Addendum 90.1c-1993 are: Pg. 8: added definition of "motor, energy efficient." Pg. 18: revised the wording of 401.2.1 and substituted shall for should in first line of 401.2.2. Pg. 18a: added to accommodate changes and additions to Table 401.2.1. Pg. 75: updated reference RS-3.

Errata also incorporated on 1994-12-22:

Pp. 45-46 and 82-91: corrected errata in ACP tables.

Pg. 64: exception for economizer controls was inserted at beginning of 403.2.8.

Pg. 70-71: added exception paragraph for large storage water heaters to 404.1. Pg. 72: added Table 404.1 footnote e with exception text.

2) 1995-05-25 (pg. 39): The Re value for equivalent resistance in the first line, last column of Table 402.1.2.1b, Parallel Path Correction Factors.

...was corrected from 5.0 to 5.5.

3) 1997-10-07 (pp. 42, 51-54): P. 42: In Table 402.2.1, the air leakage value for PVC Prime Windows was corrected from 0.06 to 0.37 cfm/ft2, the same as Wood Residential Windows. Pp. 51-54: Missing text and references for footnote c were added to Tables 403.1a and 403.1b for unitary air conditioners and condensing units that have a heating section.
