Robert Bean, R.E.T., P.L.(Eng.)

Robert Bean, R.E.T., P.L. (Eng.), is a registered engineering technologist in building construction and a professional licensee in mechanical engineering. He is president of Indoor Climate Consulting Inc. and director of www.healthyheating.com. Bean is a past ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer and recipient of ASHRAE’s Lou Flagg Award. Currently, he serves on ASHRAE Standing Standard Project Committee 55 Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy; Technical Committee 6.1 Hydronic & Steam Heating Equipment and Systems; Technical Committee 6.5 Radiant Heating and Cooling Systems; and Technical Committee 7.4 Exergy Analysis for Sustainable Buildings. Bean also is a special expert on IAPMO’s new Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code committee. He has developed and teaches numerous courses related to the business and engineering of buildings, indoor climates and radiant-based HVAC systems.
