  1. Is there a fee for the Webcast?
    There is no fee.

  2. How and when can I register for the Webcast?
    On-line registration begins March 18, 2013 at /ABEPwebcast.

  3. What is a Webcast?
    A webcast is a live broadcast of information in video or audio formats over the Internet. The “live” webcast will originate from Encompass Digital Media, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. For the April 18, 2013 ASHRAE Webcast, video and audio will be streamed over the Internet. You will be able to download and view the program with the appropriate media software.

  4. How can I get the link for the Webcast?
    The Internet link to access the webcast on April 18, 2013 will be emailed to participants when they complete registration. On-line registration begins March 18, 2013 at /ABEPwebcast.

  5. How can I find out if my computer system is ready for the Webcast?
    When you complete registration for the webcast, you will be given a link to Test Your System and System Requirements. Test Your System will inform you immediately regarding the status of your software and hardware. You will be given either a “green light” indicating that your system meets requirements or a “red light” indicating that correction is necessary. If you get a “red light,” the System Requirements outline how to proceed.

  6. Are CEU’s available to participants?
    No. However, three (3) Professional Development Hours (PDHs) may be awarded to participants who complete that Participant Reaction Form online at /ABEPwebcast by May 3, 2013.

  7. Will Professional Development Hours (PDH) credits be given to participants?
    Yes. Three (3) Professional Development Hours (PDHs) or (3) AIA Learning Units (LUs) may be awarded to viewers of the live webcast who complete the Participant Reaction Form online by May 3, 2013. The Participant Reaction Form will be posted following the live webcast at /ABEPwebcast and must be completed by May 3, 2013 to allow ASHRAE to comply with reporting requirements. Your Attendance Certificate can be printed on your printer immediately after you submit the Participant Reaction Form.

  8. Is there a deadline for completion of the Participant Reaction Form for the Live Webcast program?
    Yes. The Participant Reaction Form must be completed online at /ABEPwebcast by May 3, 2013 to ensure that ASHRAE complies with PDH reporting requirements.

  9. Will the webcast program be available for viewing after April 18, 2013?
    Yes.  If you are unable to participate in the live webcast, the program will be archived online until May 3, 2013. Registration will be necessary to view the archived program.

  10. Can I earn PDH credits by viewing the archived webcast program online?
    Yes.  You may complete the Participant Reaction Form online at /ABEPwebcast by May 3, 2013 and print your Attendance Certificate.  Many states and organizations accept viewing the archive and completing the Participation Reaction Form as credit toward continuing education, license renewal, or certification renewal requirements.  The individual is responsible for verifying approval from a state or organization. 

  11. Will the webcast presentation slides be available for download?
    Yes. The program presentation slides will be available for download during the live webcast program only. The link will be accessible in the webcast viewing auditorium on April 18th.  Due to the large file size, slides will not be made available at any other time before or after the live webcast program.
