- ASHRAE Member Graphic for Social: Take a minute to add your photo to the ASHRAE Member Canva Template, and let everyone know you’re an ASHRAE member by posting to your social media.
Canva is quick and easy to use. Instructions are below, and here is a quick video tutorial.
1. Click here: ASHRAE Member Canva Template
2. Then select the purple “View template” button under the frame.
3. Login, create an account, or connect using Google or Facebook.
4. Canva will enable the template for use. Select the purple “Open in Editor” button.
5. Select “Uploads” near the bottom of the menu on the left. Upload your photo, then drag it to the graphic.
6. Once you’ve added your photo, select “Share” from the top right menu. Scroll down and select “Download” to download a copy to your computer.
That’s it! Download the image or post directly to your social accounts using the three dots in the top right corner.

Membership Benefits Flyer – includes summary of benefits of membership, also available in Spanish.

Value of Membership Brochure – a breakdown of what you get out of ASHRAE membership when joining as a full dues paying Full Member or Associate.

Young Engineers in ASHRAE Guide – highlights the benefits of ASHRAE for a young professional member highlighting programs and services created specifically for ASHRAE members 35 and younger.

Student Membership Brochure – provides a description of all resources available for ASHRAE student members. This is a great brochure for recruiting new members at existing student branches or for the formation of a new student branch.
Retention
Personal touches from the chapter MP committee are more effective and can communicate the value of the chapter. Chapters should conduct regular local delinquency campaigns. Both Society and chapters should work in tandem to ensure delinquencies stay at a minimum.

Society has regular, scheduled communications with members just before they expire and while past due. These are broad-based communications that address Society’s role in collecting dues, in the form of email and printed mail. Just after a member expires, they will also receive a call from our outsourced call center, MGI, located in Alexandria, Virginia.

Membership Promotion Night Guidelines
- - All MP Events must be advertised to the Chapter one month prior to holding the event.
  - Membership forms (hard copy & electronic) should be available at each event.
  - Offer incentives at the event
  - One for existing members to encourage them to bring non-members.
  - One for non-members to encourage them to attend and join.
  - Prepare and give a short (5-minute) presentation on the benefits of ASHRAE membership.

PAOE

2024-25 Presidential Newsletter

Staying active with PAOE ensures your chapter stays on track with membership. Each year the winners of the Blue, Red, and Green Ribbons are determined, based on the success of their previous membership year (July1 through June 30). One chapter from each region is awarded (unless there is a tie). The wining chapters are determined by the number of membership based PAOE points acquired.

Blue Ribbon winners are the chapter in each region with the most Membership Promotion points on the PAOE totals.

Red Ribbon winners are the chapter in each region with the second highest Membership Promotion points on the PAOE totals.

Limelight winners are the chapter in each region with the highest percentage of online renewals.

Boomerang winners are the chapter in each region with the highest percentage of online renewals.

Sorting and Filtering Membership Reports

How do I find my Chapter Reports?
1. Once logged into ASHRAE.org, hover over the blue “Society Groups” tab at the top, and select “Chapters”
2. In the left-hand column, click “Run Reports” under “Chapters”
3. Your chapter name will appear in the center of the screen – click on it
4. Click “Run Chapter Reports" and select the report you wish to run.

Dues Notices, Editing Member Contact Information, and Managing Chapter Dues Received in Your Members’ Records

Follow the first 3 steps listed above. Next:
1. You will see a listing of members in your chapter and you can page through the lists of members – select the preferred person
2. Click “edit” and a membership information screen will open
  --- You can edit any of the fields for contact information and save it---Click “Member Dues Renewal Notice” & you can email directly or print and hand to a member
  --- At the bottom under the “locally paid chapter dues information,” you can enter anything you wish in the three fields, and we have suggested you track date, amount paid and payment type.
