ASHRAE volunteers have the opportunity to comment on, participate in the development of, and write for numerous ASHRAE publications, including the four volumes of ASHRAE Handbook, the peer-reviewed monthly magazine on technical applications ASHRAE Journal, the archival research journal Science and Technology for the Built Environment, as well as papers and extended abstracts for ASHRAE's Annual and Winter Conferences and various topical conferences held throughout the year. In addition, ASHRAE volunteers help write the Society’s more than 100 standards and guidelines, which estab-lish recommended design and operating practices embraced by the built environment community.
