Forced Circulation Committee Looking for Members to Help with Revision

Forced Circulation Committee Looking for Members to Help with Revision

From eSociety, July 2019

The Standards Committee has tasked SPC 33, Methods of Testing Forced Circulation Air-Cooling and Air-Heating Coils, with a new revision project. The committee is now looking for members.

The purposes of this standard are to:

  • Describe and specify testing instruments and apparatus
  • Describe and specify laboratory test methods and procedures
  • Describe and specify test data to be recorded
  • Describe and specify calculations to be made from test data
  • Define terms used in testing
  • Specify standard thermodynamic properties

It is not the standard’s purpose to specify the types of tests used for production or field testing.

The standard’s scope is to prescribe laboratory methods of testing forced circulation air-cooling coils for application under non-frosting conditions and forced circulation air-heating coils to ensure uniform performance information for establishing ratings.

The project’s Title, Purpose and Scope are not available for public review comment at this time. If you would like to comment, email Steve Ferguson

If you are interested in joining the committee, complete the online membership application forms listed under “Instructions for New Applicants” or contact Steve Ferguson:
