Jeff Stein is a Principal at Taylor Engineers, where he has worked for 25 years. He has served as the lead engineer and/or commissioning agent for dozens of data center projects across the US. He is particularly proud of several live data center retro-commissioning projects, where he was able to cut HVAC energy by more than 50% and to identify and eliminate several high-risk control system failure scenarios. He was the lead author of the data center efficiency requirements in ASHRAE 90.1 and in California Title 24 and is a member of ASHRAE 90.4 Energy Standard for Data Centers. Jeff and Brandon Gill authored the award winning 2018 ASHRAE Journal article on Data Center Controls Reliability.
