Truist Park - Home of the Atlanta Braves | $35

Sunday, February 5 │2 - 5 pm

Truist Park, home of the 2021 World Champion Atlanta Braves, was developed alongside an adjacent 1.5 million square foot mixed-use development known as The Battery Atlanta. Truist Park is an outdoor MLB stadium seating 41,000 fans that opened in 2017. This tour will provide "behind-the-scenes" looks at locker rooms, press boxes, and dugouts and a brief overview of 150 years of Braves Baseball. In addition, attendees will get a look at some of the HVAC systems conditioning Truist Park spaces. These HVAC systems include a variable primary chilled water system with three (3) 870 Ton water cooled centrifugal chillers, three (3) cooling towers, a waterside economizer, and a domestic hot water heat exchanger, twenty-eight (28) air handling units including two(2) custom air handling units, two hundred fifty (250) fan coil units, one hundred ninety (190) terminal units, and a command center displaying the user interface to the building automation system.

Join a behind-the-scenes, technical tour of ASHRAE’s new global headquarters which operates at net-zero-energy (NZE) performance following the recent installation of a large photovoltaic (PV) system. The 332kW project was a combination of three sub-arrays: 187kW ballasted rooftop, 65kW ground mount on a south facing hill adjacent to the building and 81kW ground mount situated in an unused section of the parking lot. This marks a tangible milestone for ASHRAE that will demonstrate to how to successfully move on the path to NZE status. Greg Walker: A founding Partner of Houser Walker Architecture, Gregory has practiced architecture and interior design for the past 29 years. At Houser Walker Architecture, he leads design teams for a wide range of project types, excelling at translating the complexities of the design process into simple, understandable solutions.
