Conference Recap
The 2021 ASHRAE Virtual Design and Construction Conference concluded with more than 160 people in attendance over three and presentations from industry thought leaders from around the world. The conference which ran from March 8-10, featured 11 live technical sessions including panel formats with industry leaders and three keynote sessions.
Registered attendees have access to the Virtual Conference environment until March 10, 2022 (12 months post-conference). Registered attendees can click the buttons below to access recordings of the live sessions, PDH certificates and PPT presentations from the technical sessions. Registration is still open! The inaugural conference sought to fill a need for ASHRAE members and practitioners using or planning to apply virtual design and construction in the design, construction and operation of HVAC systems. The conference provided an in depth look at the current state-of-the-industry and near future outlook in such areas as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), machine learning, LiDAR Mapping, photogrammetry, and “digital twin” technologies as they are currently being applied to integrated design, building information modeling, project management, cost estimating, scheduling and sequencing, pre-fabrication, off-site construction, modular construction, robotics and automated installation, 3D printing, facility management, asset management and operations.

Virtual Conference Environment
Registered attendees can click the “Access Virtual Conference” button and enter their email address they used when registering for the conference. Once logged into the platform use the top navigation bar to navigate the platform.
- Schedule – View a schedule of live sessions. Click the session to view the recording, the session chat box and session files.
- People – View a list of conference attendees and speakers. Click an attendee or speaker’s name to send them a private message through the platform.
- Sponsor Kiosks – View a virtual kiosk for all four of our conference sponsors which includes links and files. You can even leave your card….virtually!
- Session Files – Download attendance certificates for the sessions you attended and PDFs of the Technical Session PPT presentations.
- Conversations – View and Participate in Networking Forum threads and view your person inbox and keep the conversation going!
