ASHRAE Minnesota Chapter Celebrates Student Scholarship Recipients
From eSociety, November 2018
The ASHRAE Minnesota Chapter recognized two students who have received scholarships through the chapter during a meeting in October.
Nick Ruchti, a senior mechanical engineering major at the University of Minnesota, left, and Eric Mohr, a junior mechanical engineering major at the University of Minnesota, right, are ASHRAE Minnesota scholarship recipients for the fall 2018 quarter. They attended the chapter’s donor’s meeting on Oct. 25 with ASHRAE Minnesota Chapter Scholarship and Awards Chair Vin Gupta, P.E., Fellow/Life Member ASHRAE, middle.
The ASHRAE Minnesota scholarship was established around 2010 to provide a $2,000 yearly scholarship to the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, according to Gupta. The chapter also offers scholarships to Dunwoody Technical College in Minneapolis and works with the ASHRAE Foundation to award the ASHRAE Minnesota Chapter Peter Potvin Scholarship that benefits students in the greater Minnesota area, he said.
