Four ASHRAE Testing, Measurement Standards Updated, Reaffirmed

From eSociety, May 2018

Three method of testing standards have been updated, and one method of measurement standard has been reaffirmed.

Here are the standards:

ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 22-2018, Methods of Testing for Rating Liquid-Cooled Refrigerant Condensers, prescribes methods of testing the thermal performance and liquid-side pressure drop of liquid-cooled refrigerant condensers.

The standard includes a downloadable spreadsheet for the uncertainty analysis methodology discussed in Informative Appendix A.

ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 41.7-2015 (RA 2018), Standard Methods for Gas Flow Measurement, was reaffirmed by TC 1.2, Instruments and Measurements.

The standard prescribes methods for gas flow measurement and applies to laboratory and field gas flow measurement for testing heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigerating systems and components.
