Video and Photo Submission Policy

Thanks for agreeing to be part of an ASHRAE video or photo project! Please review ASHRAE’s image consent policy before uploading content.

By submiting images, herein defined as photo, video, illustrations, or other multimedia:

You grant ASHRAE permission to use likenesses in any and all of its publications, including website publication, without payment or any other consideration.
You understand and agree that any non-digital images submissions will become the property of ASHRAE and will not be returned.
You hereby authorize ASHRAE to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute images for purposes of education or promotion, or for any other lawful purpose.
You waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein your likeness appears.
You waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the images.
You hereby hold harmless and release ASHRAE from all claims, demands, and causes of action which you or any other persons acting on your behalf may have by reason of this authorization.

ASHRAE will publish images in conjunction with submissions from members, individuals, and other affiliated organizations.
If images you've submitted features people who are readily identifiable, it is your responsibility to get consent from any party prior to sending it to us for publication.
It is your responsibility to maintain photo consent records for any materials. ASHRAE will not keep release forms for individuals in submitted content.
Submitter will defend ASHRAE against any or all suits related to publishing the images, and will hold the publisher harmless for any real or perceived errors of omission.
ASHRAE takes special issue with images containing anyone perceived to be under the age of 21. By submitting, you consent that all recognizable people are over the age of 21. ASHRAE may blur faces of perceived minor individuals, or choose not to publish outright.
Images cannot be edited in any way which changes the truth of the image.
