Course Length: 3 hours
ASHRAE/IES’s Standard 90.1-2019, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, has received a determination issued by the U.S. Department of Energy stating that this standard would achieve greater energy efficiency in commercial buildings subject to the code and that buildings meeting this standard would result in national energy cost savings of approximately 37% (as compared to the 2004 edition). Design professionals, code officials, and building owners must now keep up with the new, more stringent requirements to comply with this quickly evolving standard. The course has a strong focus on 90.1-2019 requirements for key building technical systems. It includes a brief explanation of the latest lighting and envelope requirements then goes in depth on the changes to the HVAC section since 2016.
