NEW! Solar PV and Thermal Systems: Harnessing the Power of the Sun to Decarbonize Our Buildings

Course Length: 3 hours

This course provides an in-depth exploration of solar energy and battery storage solutions, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to design, analyze, and implement cutting-edge renewable energy systems.

The course begins with an overview of solar thermal systems and the essential components of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Participants will explore practical applications, including solar lighting systems and the integration of electric vehicles (EVs) with solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Special focus is given to the design and operation of solar EV charging stations, as well as sizing solar PV systems to fuel EVs and battery banks for home energy needs.

Through detailed case studies and hands-on guidelines, the course examines the development and implementation of solar energy systems for residential and commercial buildings. Participants will gain practical insights into the commissioning tests required before and after activating solar systems.
