Course Length: 3 hours
V is the third leg in the three-legged stool of HVAC. We need heat (H) to stay warm when it’s cold outside and we like air-conditioning (AC) to keep us cool when it’s hot outside. The V is ventilation but aren’t all ventilation systems the same?
This follow-up course to the What, Why, Where, How, and How Much? course provides instruction on how to design a more efficient ventilation system using the ventilation rate procedure (VRP). The course covers constant volume and VAV recirculating systems for single zone and multiple spaces. It also provides basics for DOAS ventilation design and compares the energy used between the types of ventilation systems.
