Brian Kirk is director of Infrastructure Strategy and Planning at New York Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital. Leading infrastructure management efforts for the Facilities Design and Construction-Engineering Department, Kirk’s primary focus is on improving the hospital’s processes for managing a complex and extensive infrastructure asset inventory. This goal includes utilizing infrastructure data collection and analysis to augment traditional means of capital planning. Working closely with NYP’s Facilities Systems group, the efforts of Kirk and his group to integrate data analytics is intended to create a greater understanding of the building conditions and needs across the Hospital’s network, a project that will allow for informing, enhancing, and prioritizing forward planning for capital investment.
