Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.
Gerald Kettler has over 45 years of management and professional level experience in the design, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation of physical facilities. He is a licensed professional engineer in nine states and certified in many specialties including commissioning, test and balance and environmental management. He has performed commissioning provider and other USGBC LEED administration functions for over 300 LEED projects and is a LEED Fellow. Mr. Kettler has worked for a variety of architectural, engineering consulting, construction, testing and management companies. He has been active on many ASHRAE and other organization committees that develop industry wide guidelines, codes and standards. He served as chair of the ASHRAE SSPC 300 committee on Commissioning and the ICC Guideline 4 committee developing commissioning instructions for building officials.
