Larry Schoen, P.E.

    Biography

    Larry Schoen is Principal Engineer for Schoen Engineering Inc., Columbia, Maryland, which focuses on analysis and the design of mechanical and electrical systems, energy efficiency and quality of the indoor environment. He has degrees from SUNY Buffalo, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and the University of Maryland and was a graduate student at Princeton and Johns Hopkins University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, a Fellow of ASHRAE, and a recipient of its Environmental Health and Distinguished Service Awards. Larry also chaired IAQ 2007 (Healthy and Sustainable Buildings) and ASHRAE’s Environmental Health Committee. He currently serves as a member of SSPC 55, Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Comfort, GPC 37 Guidelines for the Application of Upper Room Germicidal Ultraviolet and is vice chair of SSPC 189.1, Design of High Performance Green Buildings.
