Criteria, Submission and Evaluation Processes
Criteria:
This award recognizes a promising investigator, preferably less than 40 years of age, for significant accomplishment in the general area of human response to the environment, which may include thermal, moisture, visual, acoustical, toxic, allergic, olfactory, vibrational and microbiological effects on human health, comfort and well-being.
- Recognition is in the form of a $500 honorarium, plaque and lapel pin
- One awarded per year
- Recommended by TC 2.1 (Physiology and Human Environment)
Submission process:
- A letter of recommendation from a person who knows the nominee and their work, nominating the person for the award, and outlining why the nominee should be considered for the award
- The CV of the nominee
- Annual deadline for submission: December 23rd
- Submit documents to Chair of TC 2.1 – TC0201@ashrae.net
- Award Notification by early February
Evaluation process:
Letters of recommendation together with CVs for each nominee are circulated to voting members of TC 2.1 for the committee’s consideration and decision, arrived at with reference to the criteria stated above.
