The Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP), Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), and Operations & Performance Management Professional (OPMP) certifications and the Fundamentals of Building Operation, Maintenance and Management course have been reviewed by the Facility Management Institute of the U.S. General Services Administration and are now considered FBPTA-Aligned. The process included reviewing learning objectives, skills taught, and material covered.

These qualifications have been included in the 2018 Core Competencies and Recommended Curriculum and added to the Accelerate FM tool, designed to help Federal Buildings Personnel manage professional development.
